- Sunday, 16 May, 11am: Jorge Semprún is a guest in the series ‘A Stage with a View' at De Munt.

Jorge Semprún's literary work was strongly influenced by his own life experience. In his numerous award-winning novels, plays and screenplays, he mixes autobiographical details with fictional elements. In his debut novel the long journey he attests to the unspeakable horror of Buchenwald. Titles like The second death of Ramon Mercader and Autobiografie van Federico Sánchez express his clandestine engagement to the Spanish Communist Party under Franco. In other novels he talks about his life as an exile in France and about Spain in recent decades.
Françoise Wolff talks with the author about his life and work.
