    • the european prize for literature 2011 is awarded to drago jancar

    • The European Prize for Literature 2011 is awarded to Drago Jancar (Slovenia), currently writer in residence in Villa Hellebosch. He receives the prize for the totality of his work as a novelist, playwright and essayist, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the independence of Slovenia (1991), to which he actively contributed.  The award ceremony will take place in Strasbourg’s city hall on Saturday March 24, 2012 within the framework of the festival “TRANSLATE EUROPE – 7th  Annual Meeting of European Literature".
